About Us

Rushing Water!

Officially known as the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park, we usually refer to it as the ‘towpath’ or just the ‘C&O.’   No matter what we call it, we spend a lot of time there  throughout the year either biking, walking, exploring, or cleaning up our assigned  level.

We’re  members of the C &O Canal Association and volunteer to clean up Level 52, hence the name of our blog! Don’t be fooled by the name however, because we spend time all over the park!

We biked the entire length of the towpath  during the summer of 2009 in three days.  What an adventure!  We’re planning to do the trip again this summer. (2011).  You don’t have to walk or bike the full length of the trail to take advantage of what the C&O offers.  The C&O Canal trail is a perfect place for families, walkers, bikers, nature lovers, history buffs, and outdoor enthusiasts of any type!

We invite you to stop by occasionally to see what we’ve been up to….we’re looking forward to sharing our adventures on the C&O with you!
